
Incubator Edition Two | Poetry Africa
Photography Incubator Edition Two by Contemporary Archive Project, in collaboration with the Centre for Creative Arts and ekhweni (a residency and cultural programming space based in Durban). The project is funded by BASA.
CAP presented its first Photography Residency alongside its Photography Incubator Edition Two programme. CAP hosted four photographers, Manelisi Nene, Aphiwe Moyo, Thembinkosi Hlatshwayo and Sibusiso Gcaba to be part of a 15 day Incubator and residency, to conceptualise a body of work and participate in workshops dealing with critical thinking in image making during the Poetry Africa festival.

Festival host:
Centre for Creative Arts’ Poetry Africa is an international poetry festival held annually in Durban. The festival’s extensive programme includes theatre performances, readings, music and book-launches.
Residency hosts:
ekhweni, is a residency and cultural programming space based in Durban;
Umhlabathi, is a residency which forms part of the experimental intiatives under the collective in a bid to create an inclusive photographic community (members are Jabulani Dhlamini, Andrew Tshabangu, Sabelo Mlangeni, Andile Komanisi, Thandile Zwelibanzi, Tshepiso Mabula, Tshepiso Mazibuko & Lebogang Kganye);
This programme is in collaboration with the Centre for Creative Arts and ekhweni, the project was funded by BASA.
